Bobby, Nicole + Sutton // Maternity + Newborn

Last Fall, our friend Bobby came to us wanting to take some Maternity and Newborn photos in anticipation of the arrival of their baby boy. Christina met up with Bobby and Nicole in early October and took some beautiful Fall Maternity photos of the couple. Fast forward to mid-November where the Walter Family grew from two to three. Sutton James entered this world on November 17th, he was 7 lbs. 13 oz and perfect in every way! Here are some photos of him at just 8 days old.

A note from Christina, “It is always so fun for me to be able to do the Newborn session after meeting the expectant parents during a Maternity shoot. And lets face it, it is hard to beat doing a newborn session, not many things are as sweet as a baby so new to this world. Nicole and Bobby had such love for this baby boy, it was just oozing out of them. Makes my job easy and way too fun!

Sweet Sutton, what a good model you were! Such a cutie, and one of the most expressive faces I have ever seen on a baby! I have a feeling you are going to be a very entertaining little boy! Congratulations Bobby and Nicole on your new baby boy, and welcome to the world little Sutton James.”

Big D is THIRTY!

Wellllll this blog post is only coming to you about 8 months late, but the photos were too fun not to post!:) Last August, to celebrate David turning the BIG 3-0 I threw him a Birthday Fiesta. The day was complete with good friends, family, a taco bar, photo booth and of course margaritas! Since I am always so busy editing everyone else’s photos I was just able to get around to these now and I must say it was kind of fun to relive the whole thing again this many months later. Happy Birthday again Big D, we love you!

As guests walked in the door we had mustache tattoos ready for them to affix to their pointer fingers, OLE!
I swear the photo booth never gets old….good times.

Chad + Heidi // Married!

Today I have Chad and Heidi’s beautiful backyard Wedding to share with you. I love this couple! They are one of those couples that are just so fun to be around and really makes our “work” not seem like work at all. We had a ball with these two, both on their Engagement Shoot and their Wedding day. Despite some complications with the limo not showing up, the day was perfect! Chad and Heidi just rolled with it and didn’t let it affect their happiness. After all, this was the day they were going to marry their best friend. The Wedding took place in Parker, CO where Chad is from. The couple got married in a small church, followed by the celebratory reception held in Chad’s parent’s backyard. The beautiful property was absolutely amazing and completely transformed with vibrant flowers, hanging poms, a tent and tons of lights. All the hard DIY work done by Heidi and Firefly Designs Colorado didn’t disappoint. I especially loved all the handmade flowers that were used as escort cards and the delicious Candy Bar that served as a “Thank You” take away for guests. The party was rockin’ until the wee hours of the night, celebrating the new Mr. and Mrs. Bassett!!

Paul + Katie // Engaged

Since Spring is upon us and it is starting to get nice and warm out, I thought I would share these snowy pics before Winter is completely a thing of the past. Believe it or not, I only took these photos about 3 weeks ago…ohh how Colorado weather can change in a minute! When Paul and Katie talked to me about their Engagement shoot they said they really wanted photos with snow! I said that could be hard to plan since where we live it can snow one day and be sunny and 60 degrees the next…and thus the snow melts. We scheduled a date and crossed our fingers. Luckily, March is our snowiest month and the day we got together to take the photos we had TONS of snow!! It was absolutely beautiful, a white Winter Wonderland! Although a little chilly, I had a lot of fun with these two (and their pups!). Paul and Katie, I hope you love the photos…next comes the Wedding!!

Scott + Caroline // Married!

After sharing their Engagement session last week, I decided to cap off the Scott and Caroline marathon by posting their Wedding today! This was a beautiful Winter Wedding, and since Spring is around the corner I thought I would share this with you while it is still cold out. Scott and Caroline got married at Ellis Ranch in Loveland, CO. Prior to the wedding day, Loveland had gotten some snow, leaving us with a beautiful white blanket for photos. The day was perfect in every way, but mainly because of the amazing and pure love that these two share. This was obvious to everyone present that day, but was especially evident by Scott’s tears as Caroline walked down the aisle toward him. Scott and Caroline, we wish you many years of love, adventure and fun…enjoy every day together!
