I love any excuse to throw a good Mexican Fiesta…I mean margaritas, tacos, guac….need I say more?! I’ve also kind of been obsessed with all the llamas and cactuses I’ve been seeing everywhere so this was the perfect theme for Riley girl’s 2nd backyard birthday bash. It is so fun to finally have a kid with a summer birthday! As guests arrived, I had favor bags at the front entry for them to grab right as they arrived so they could enjoy their goodies throughout the party. I had boy and girl versions of the bags complete with bubbles, sunglasses, llama tattoos, twisty straws, rock candy, lollipops and cactus stickers. For dinner, we had a Chipotle taco bar (so easy), margaritas (of course) and strawberry lemonade for the kiddos. In addition to dancing to music and playing with the bubble machine and water table, the kids LOVED the piñata and of course the candy that came out of it! For dessert, we had cake, cookies and strawberry lemonade cupcakes. The BEAUTIFUL cake was made by our dear friend Christina Rae and the ADORABLE cookies by Sugardough (a Poppleton b-day tradition). We are so thankful to all our friends and family who came to celebrate our girl! Riley Roo is TWO!!
