Every year, my sweet middle boy seems to have a fairly clear vision of what his birthday party theme should be. This year he was adamant he wanted an Emoji party. After getting Emoji stuffies at Burger King he got into emojis and both him and Riley thought the concept of the poop emoji was hilarious! So an Emoji party is what I created! I used lots of hashtags, acronyms (LOL, HBD, OMG) and of course all the different emoji faces to bring the party to life. I had recently gotten a Silhouette machine for Christmas so this was the perfect opportunity to test it out! I went a little Emoji crazy…the Silhouette made it so easy!
We had a “Selfie Station” for the the kids to put on props and take silly photos (we used our props from our wedding photo booth which made this one easy). Since the party was 6 days before Valentines Day, we also had a “Make Your Own Emoji Valentine” station for a craft. Most of the party was pure chaos, but the good kind, basically the sounds of the kids having a ball and hyped up on sugar! Our friend Christina made him the most ADORABLE cake EVER, with chocolate covered Oreo Emoji pops on top! Talk about a cake of a 5-year old’s dreams! Thank you to all DJ’s friends for coming and celebrating him so well!
