California for the BIG 3-0!

FILED IN: Personal

Happy weekend everybody! Sorry I’ve been MIA of late…Parker got very sick and then we were off to California for some photo shoots and to celebrate my 30th birthday. In some ways it is perfectly reasonable and acceptable to me that I am 30 and in others I can’t fathom how my 20s are already behind me. I know I will sound old saying this, but it seems like just yesterday in some ways that I was a kid and now somehow I’m a full fledged adult. I mean 30 is legitimate adult territory….I can’t even pretend that I am a kid anymore, not even a little bit. But I’ve decided my 30s are going to be amazing and the best is still to come. I’ve heard so many people say their 30s were so much better than their 20s because they really knew who they were by their 30s. Almost a week into my 30s I agree. 🙂

I was lucky enough to celebrate this big milestone with some of my oldest and dearest friends. First, in So. Cal. we took a limo to Temecula and went wine tasting for the day. It was absolutely gorgeous out and 80 degrees!! A very welcome break from the cold here in Colorado. The best part was spending time with good friends, most of whom I’ve known since my teens or before. I also enjoyed seeing my parents in Orange County and celebrating with them over dinner at one of my favorite restaurants. I then headed up to Northern California to see some other close friends. The day before my actual birthday, one of my best friends Kristin and her husband took Parker and I to San Francisco for the day. We also had amazing weather there, which I know can be rare for San Fran. In addition to San Francisco we had fun exploring some areas I had never been, Tiburon and Sausalito. Here are some pics from our travels!

Wine tasting at Keyways Vineyard in Temecula.  So beautiful.

I love, and am so grateful for all these girls.
My delicious birthday cupcakes.
I just adored the scenery in Tiburon.  Don’t get me wrong I love San Francisco, but something about this place was more “me”.

My wonderful hosts!  Thanks for treating me all day long for my bday!
My favorite little guy.

Beautiful Sausalito

Almost a year and a half after their wedding and I’m taking photos of them again!

Love exploring new places with my little buddy.
