Ryan and Lauren {Trash the Dress- Part 1}

I know it’s a bit late in the Fall to be posting this (hey, technically the first day of Winter isn’t until December 21!), but I have a very Fall, leafy inspired blog post for you today! Lauren and Ryan have been married for almost 2 years, and now looking back they weren’t entirely happy with their wedding photos. After seeing the engagement photos I took of her friends Amy and Barrett, Lauren approached me about doing a Trash the Dress session. One thing I LOVED about this couple is they totally let me take creative control, which was so fun for me! They did say it would be fun to get some photos with the Fall leaves, so we headed to Wash Park for the first location. It was late October, and the timing could not have been more perfect. For those of you who aren’t familiar, Wash Park is set right outside of downtown Denver and has huge, beautiful mature trees. At the time, all the leaves were golden and many of them had fallen off, which was exactly what I had been picturing for my vision. My inspiration was the typical Fall day as a kid playing in a pile of leaves….and from there we just went with it. Look below and you can see we had a blast, we were laughing non stop! Ryan and Lauren, thanks for such a fun day and laying in leaves, etc in your wedding dress and suit for me!

PS- I think David and I missed our calling as florists….we made the bouquet and boutonniere in this shoot! We really didn’t have a clue what we were doing, but I think they turned out well!
