Happy Thanksgiving week!! In spirit of this Fall holiday and the harvest I wanted to post Nick and Kristina’s Engagement session. We got so lucky with these two…it was the quintessential PERFECT Fall day. Anyone who knows me, knows that Fall is my favorite season and my absolute favorite time to shoot. Nick and Kristina put this session over the top by carving some pumpkins with important elements of their Wedding celebration. I’m in love with these photos, as well as these two who topped off the perfect shoot by making us pumpkin chocolate chip brownies…they were DELISH! See I don’t exaggerate when I say we have the best clients. 🙂
These two got engaged in late June. They had decided to take a trip to San Francisco. Nick had never been to the city, and while Kristina had visited it before she had never been to the Golden Gate Bridge. Little did she know, Nick had already decided that would be the perfect place to pop the question! On Monday, June 25, they decided to head over to see and walk the bridge. First they walked over to the scenic overlook to take some photos before walking it. It was of course very crowded when they arrived, but they stood around and took some more photos until the place cleared out. It was then that it happened…I love the way Kristina puts it: “He seemed to find the quietest moment of the day. I took a picture of Alcatraz, turned around, and Nick was down on one knee. He asked me to be his wife, and the first thing I said? “OhmyGod” (I said this like 25 times before I finally answered). OF COURSE I SAID YES! It was hands down the most romantic, meaningful, and surprising proposal I could have ever imagined. Nick had been planning it since we booked the trip, talked to his best friends, his parents, my father and researched the bridge. He even planned what shirt he was going to wear. It was the most memorable, not to mention thoughtful, moment of my entire life, and the easiest question I have ever had to answer.”
