Ava JoRae the Ballerina

Well it’s Monday….oh Monday, blah. It’s hard rolling into a new week after such a great weekend! I just got back last night from a long weekend in beautiful Colorado. I made the trip out there for a couple photo shoots, and it never fails every time, I get blown away by how gorgeous it is! Two days before my arrival they had gotten 23″ of snow so all the mountains and front lawns were covered with snow, that coupled with a blue sky and sunshine made for a pretty beautiful sight! It wasn’t all work while I was there, and luckily I had a lot of time to spend with friends and family. Thursday I had a great time in Boulder with one of my best friends Steph, just catching up and soaking in being in Boulder our old college stomping grounds. Then the rest of the weekend, when I wasn’t busy shooting (lots of pics coming soon!), I was able to spend time with my sister-in-law Christina and my niece Ava.

Ok so it is pretty ridiculous how stinking cute Ava is, and how anything she says pretty much melts my heart. Not having kids of my own, I forget how innocent they are and how optimistically and simply they see the world. Their joyful hearts rub off on you, that’s for sure. So this weekend I got lots of overdue snuggle time, read her her nursery rhyme book too many times to count (I never realized how weird the words in nursery rhymes are!) and had the pleasure of going to her ballet class! Seriously what a cutie! Sorry Ava, you do have the crazy Auntie with the BIG camera taking pics of everything you do…on that note I will leave you with some displaying Miss Ava JoRae the ballerina!
