Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day enjoying this beautiful Summer-like weather and being thankful for our soldiers and our freedom. Today I have quite possibly the funnest and cutest couple on earth to share with you. I shot Mark and Molly’s Engagement shoot back in March and am just now getting it up on the Blog. Molly’s older sister Sarah is one of my best friends, so Molly and I grew up together and she really is like a little sister to me! David and I are so honored to be shooting hers and Mark’s Wedding in Sayulita, MX! We cannot believe it is just about 2 weeks away now…MEXICO here we come!! Ole!
The Love Story of Mark and Molly:
They met, they met again, and now they are getting married…
It all started back when Molly was in diapers and Mark was terrorizing little girls at their sisters’ soccer games. Flash-forward 15 years where they attended the same high school without really ever saying a word to each other. Mark thought Molly was a cutie and Molly sporadically had crushes on Mark, who was her older sister Julia’s friend and homecoming date. It wasn’t until Molly’s last semester in college that both the Gardner and Paulick parents were at the same wedding Molly was at. Molly looked over at Terri Paulick sitting next to her mom, and with one too many sips of wine, told her mom to tell Terri to tell Mark to ask her out. Later that night, Mark’s dad told him that he should really ask Molly out because she was the life of the party and was just incredible at karaoke (cue laughter). But, given Molly’s impatient and impulsive nature, she Facebooked Mark before he even had a chance to think about it. After a week of Facebook flirting shenanigans, Mark took Molly out on the best date of both of their lives. It involved Thai food, tambourines, salsa dancing, and getting kicked out of a hip hop club. This goofy duo knew that there was something special when they started singing Beatles songs on the way back to the car. From that night came a series of epic dates, real life grown-up love, Mark’s big move to Texas for medical school, and then a picnic on a hill where Mark proposed to Molly to be his partner in crime forever….
Stay tuned for Part 2 of this Engagement session later this week!!
I think all these bright colors are very in keeping with the theme of their Mexico Wedding!
These two had me laughing the entire shoot.
