Chris and Maegen {Engagement}

This week I am busy editing photos and getting caught up after a fun, but tiring weekend away. David and I were shooting one of the cutest weddings EVER in Salida, CO. I had never been to Salida before, but it is an adorable small town right on the Arkansas River where we had the pleasure of shooting Maegen and Chris’s wedding at the Salida Steamplant. Well for today, I actually have Chris, who often goes by “Louie”, and Maegen’s engagement photos to share with you that we took earlier this Summer. A little bit about this couple, Louie and Maegen met in April 2004 in Fort Collins at a college party at Maegen’s apartment. Louie and one of Meagen’s roomates had met through high school friends. As Louie and Maegen began to hang out and shared their love for punk and ska music they realized they had a lot more in common. Though they don’t remember when they made it official, they do remember their date to Frank’s (Yellow Sub sandwich shop) on the day of the 2004 NFL Draft. So to this day they celebrate their Anniversary on whatever day the Draft falls on. Oh how this couple loves Football…and to this day Maegen claims she always kicks Louie’s butt in their fantasy league! Almost 5 years later, on March 16th, 2009 beautiful baby Charlotte Claire Lusignan (a.k.a. “Charlie”) arrived into their lives and made Maegen and Louie’s lives even that much better. Now 2 years old, Charlie was the flower girl when her mommy and daddy tied the knot this past weekend.

We started out the shoot with some pics of the family of three at a nearby park and then headed over to Lakeside Amusement Park where we continued on to the engagement shoot. But we got kicked out of Lakeside! Unfortunately, unbeknownst to us, Lakeside does not allow professional photography
