I need to start by saying I ADORED this wedding. Everything about it. At the beginning of the month David and I headed to DC to shoot Rob and Ashley’s beautiful art deco, 1920s-esque Wedding at the Daughters of the American Revolution National Headquarters. The architecture at this venue is stunning and unlike any other venue we have shot before. It was the quintessential DC location with it’s marble colonnades and view of the Washington Monument from the South portico. It also served as the perfect backdrop for Ashley’s vision of a Great Gatsby inspired, glam Wedding. The day went seamlessly. Other than a quick rain shower after the ceremony, everything went according to the Bride’s well thought out plan. The couple tied the knot on the DAR’s South portico in a very sentimental ceremony followed by dinner and dancing into the night. Friends and family sent the couple off to Mexico with a beautiful sparkler exit!
Rob and Ashley, we hope you guys had the best day and that these photos do justice to how beautiful it really was. Thank you so much for letting us be apart of it. You are such beautiful couple inside and out and the connection you two have is infectious. Cheers to your marriage!
