Today I have Mike and Jen’s intimate Steamboat wedding to share with you! As most of you know, David and I jump at any opportunity to shoot a wedding in Steamboat. It is a special place for us and the perfect escape from reality. Labor Day weekend was no different. The leaves were just starting to turn, temperatures had cooled to mid 60s and 70s, it was just perfect. This time we brought the boys and my parents along with us and made a nice little trip out of it. Jen and her family have deep rooted ties to Steamboat and it was a place Jen grew up coming to. After college she lived in Steamboat which further ingrained this cute little western ski town into her blood. So when her and Mike were deciding where to tie the knot, Steamboat seemed to be the perfect place. The couple said their vows in front of just family and a couple close friends in Olympian Hall at Howelsen Hill. We then had time for portraits around the old ski hill. Later, more guests joined the happy couple downtown at Ghost Ranch Saloon for a dinner and dancing. Thankfully we were able to steal the couple away during this time for a few more photos where we had the prettiest light of the day. Mike and Jen, many congratulations to you both! Thank you for letting us capture such a special day for you.
