I have been dying to share this wedding with you for quite some time now!! Back in June we were lucky enough to photograph Mark and Molly’s Wedding in Sayulita, Mexico!! When they asked us to be their photographers and join in on the festivities I had never heard of Sayulita. It is a well kept secret…a tiny fishing village of only a few thousand locals and just a forty five minute drive from Puerto Vallarta. It’s filled with rich vibrant colors, friendly locals, flavorful tacos, strong margaritas, endless surf, laughter and dancing all night long! This was a different version of Mexico for me, not the version overrun with tourists and resorts but the real deal. Authentic Mexico. The bright and vibrant town of Sayulita, completely captured the fun, energetic and joyful personalities of Mark and Molly. This town could not have been more perfectly suited for these two, and truly was the ideal place for them to say I Do.
Mark and Molly, along with the help of their families, created not only a wonderful wedding, but a celebration and experience that lasted several days. Guest were greeted with adorable welcome bags with some Mexican goodies along with helpful information for their stay in Sayulita. The Gardner and Paulick families had rented a HUGE Mexican Villa right on the beach which was not only the site of the Wedding, but also served as a great place for wedding guests to drop by and visit, relax with a cerveza, take a swim in the surf and just celebrate this time with Mark and Molly. Thursday night everyone met up at a local restaurant in town followed by dancing until 2 in the morning. Friday night, after the rehearsal dinner, there was a bonfire on the beach with margaritas for all the guests to toast Mark and Molly. It was a night filled with a few tears, lots of laughter and overall lots of fun and celebration. Although very hot and humid, the wedding day was gorgeous and a perfect reflection of this couple, from the sincere vows to the crazy PARTY that followed.
Mark and Molly, thank you so much for being such a great example of LOVE and how amazing it can be when you find your person in this world. I can’t wait to share Part 2 with you all soon: the Ceremony, more portraits of the Bride and Groom and the authentic Fiesta/Reception that followed. Stay tuned!
