Before it turns into full on spring in Colorado I thought I would share this romantic winter elopement! David and I had the pleasure of being two of the three people present to witness James and Ashley’s I Do’s at Sapphire Point in Breckenridge this past December. The couple traveled from Nashville to elope in the snowy mountains of Colorado and they sure got their wish! On the day of their nuptials it was 8 degrees and snowing, brr!!! But it made for a gorgeous backdrop, truly a winter wonderland if I ever saw one! While David and I were decked out in full on ski gear, the bride and groom braved the weather in a sequined sleeveless dress and a suit. They were such troopers, when I asked Ashley if she’d like to do their first look outside or inside she said “Outside! We might as well make the most of this gorgeous weather!” Just the kind of adventurous couples we love to photograph.
After the first look we made our way over to Sapphire Point and did a small hike down to the overlook where James and Ashley said their vows. Followed by some portraits and then we made our way into downtown Breckenridge where the couple got warm with a toast and cut their delicious cake. James and Ashley, thank you so much for letting us be apart of your special day, it really was one of the coolest and most romantic wedding days we have been able to witness.
Thank you to Custom Weddings of Colorado for coordinating this special day for the couple and to Pink Posey Design for the gorgeous flowers.
