On the blog today we have our final wedding of 2015, and it was a beautiful one! Brian and Kaela actually live in New Jersey but got married in Kaela’s home state of California. Their wedding day was what you would expect from fall in Southern California…sunny and warm. 🙂 Kaela looked gorgeous in her wedding gown and was such a laid back and easy going bride it made the day a blast! The couple said their vows at Our Lady Queen of Angels church in CDM and then guests headed to the reception at Hotel Laguna. David and I were lucky enough to be able to take portraits of Brian and Kaela on the beach during golden hour…a luxury that rarely happens on the wedding day. And I must say I’m in love with the outcome.
To backtrack a bit…Brian and Kaela met almost exactly three years ago. Kaela was living in New York and unable to get home to California for the Thanksgiving holiday. Luckily, a friend invited her to spend Thanksgiving weekend with her family in New Jersey. During the weekend, her friend took her to the local town bar “54 Main Street” to watch her husband play in a band. Brian had just finished playing in a local charity soccer tournament and went to the same bar after he was done. Apparently the grass stains and sweatpants must have gotten to Kaela because once they started talking at the bar they didn’t look back and have been together ever since! The funny part is, both Brian and Kaela were living in NYC at the time, and not far from each other, but met in Brian’s home town.
Kaela and Brian, we loved being apart of your wedding! It was such a fun and beautiful day from start to finish! It was so great getting to know you both and we hope you love the photos!
