I love Ben and Jacqueline and loved their California Beach Wedding! I posted their Engagement Shoot two weeks ago and am excited to now share their Huntington Beach Wedding with you! It was the quintessential perfect California Summer day. The sun was shining, the sky was blue and there was a perfect view of the ocean. Jacqueline was an absolutely STUNNING bride and her piercing blue eyes and lovely gown stopped everyone dead in their tracks. Ben was also looking pretty dapper in his gray suit and new Rolex that Jacqueline had gifted him as a Wedding present. This day was a long time coming for these two and you could tell they could not have been more excited. Here, the story of their journey to the big day and how they fell in love:
On March 15, 2003 Ben and Jacqueline were set up on a blind date by their mutual friend, for a sorority formal. When they met, there was an instant connection and so their relationship began. They dated throughout the rest of college and shortly afterwards found themselves venturing in separate directions. Ben was eager to continue with his education and pursued a degree in law. Jacqueline found herself enjoying the hustle and bustle of her career. They didn’t keep in touch all that much during their time apart, however, on a visit to Colorado for a friend’s wedding, Jacqueline reached out to Ben as she was passing through Denver. They got together for a late lunch and hours later found themselves reconnecting after more than 4 years of being apart. The timing was a bit off as Jacqueline was entertaining a new job opportunity in Washington, D.C. and Ben was beginning a new job in Denver. However, after staying in touch for a bit, they decided to move forward with a long distance relationship. They began traveling back and forth visiting one another and making stops to re-connect with each other’s families in between. Ben decided that after all these years; Jacqueline was the one for him. On October 26, 2012, Ben picked Jacqueline up at the airport for a weekend visit and took her for dinner in downtown Boulder…the city where it all began. After a wonderful evening he proposed to her and she immediately said, “Yes”!
This day was a perfect ending, and beginning, to their love story and new life together. We had such a great time documenting the day and everything went seamlessly thanks to the wonderful team they had around them. The Wedding was held at the beautiful Huntington Beach Hyatt, the gorgeous flowers were designed by Chris Ensch Fine Florals and planning and coordination was byJoie De Vivre Weddings and Events.
