Will you be my Bridesmaid?

FILED IN: Weddings

I had such a great time being a part of this “Will you be my Bridesmaid?” shoot dreamed up by Abbey at Purple Summer Events. I can’t think of a more fun way to ask your best girlfriends to be a part of your wedding than with a bridesmaid brunch in a blooming orchard. A totally girly day to celebrate your bridesmaids and flower girls complete with sweet treats, dreaming up wedding ideas, lots of laughter and girl time. Abbey’s inspiration was blurring the lines between young girlhood and womanhood. “I started playing with the idea of mixing young girlishness with adult girlishness and how we still like to be little girls sometimes. Feathers and sprinkles will have a few repeat appearances. Along with cotton candy, rock candy and ribbon!  These women are at the age where they’re getting married, but they still enjoy the things they enjoyed as a kid: candy, sweets, playing with each other’s hair. So I’m hoping it will blur the lines a little between the sophistication of adulthood and the simplicity and fun of childhood.”

It was such an honor to work with all these lovely vendors who brought this shoot to life! From the handmade beetle plank farmhouse table from Old Wood Soul, to the lovely florals from Ladybird Poppy , the custom cookies, cake and other sweet treats from Baker Loves Cake  and the letterpress cards for each girl from Chatam & Caron. The table settings and other vignettes (pink velvet love seat, ladder, quilts, etc) were provided by Good Ol’-Fashioned Party. The models all wore chic boho clothing from Rustic Thread and were styled by make-up artist Kacey Clark and hair stylist Brittani Estes. All of this with the GORGEOUS backdrop of the venue, Ya Ya Farm & Orchard. Enjoy the sweetness and whimsy of this “Will you be my Bridesmaid?” brunch!
