Summer Blossoms Wedding

FILED IN: Weddings

When dreaming up the concept for this “Summer Blossoms” wedding shoot with Sarah Hill and Kaitlin Chad, we knew we needed to get a great florist on board to accomplish our vision because LOTS and LOTS of flowers would be the focal point of this “wedding”! Enter Frances from Prema Style and our “dream team” was complete! Our inspiration came from a summer garden just bursting over with blooms and vibrant colors of fuchsia, coral, ballet slipper pink, golds and touches of aqua and peach. Frances knocked it out of the park using tons of coral charm peonies, ranunculus, iclandic poppies, snapdragons and zinnias all throughout the lush centerpieces, altar, bouteneer and bouquets. Can we just talk about the bouquets?! She created a different color bouquet for each bridesmaid and then used the entire color palette for the bride’s bouquet which was just cascading over with color and softness. All the bouquets were tied together with beautiful satin and linen ribbons left long and hanging.

We also knew we wanted to incorporate watercolors as a main focal point into this wedding throughout the paper goods and design elements. We were lucky enough to get the AMAZING Laura Hooper Calligraphy on board to create a beautiful watercolor invitation suite, place cards, menus, signs, a “Love Blooms Here” print, signature cocktail menu and laser cut signs for the Bride and Groom’s chair backs and the ceremony altar. For our dessert table we had “Cookies and Cake”. Megan Joy Cakes created quite the showstopper using shades of pink watercolors, gold leaf and gorgeous gum paste flowers made by hand. Sugardough Cookie created an artistic collection of cookies with lovely watercolors and painted blooms using the vibrant hues and gold color palette.

We knew we needed the perfect backdrop for this shoot, with almost a “Secret Garden” feeling. We were so fortunate to be able to use a private residence in Boulder with the most stunning landscape. For our tablescapes we wanted modern glam to meet the organic natural feel of the garden. The tables were all styled and brought together beautifully by Katilin of The Every Hostess. The ghost chairs were provided by Charming Chairs.

Lastly, our bride Melody looked like something out of a lovely dream wearing a Monique Lhuillier “Esme” gown graciously provided by Anna Be bridal boutique. Her groom Sean, looked dapper in a classic black and white tux from Denver Tux. Our bridesmaids were right on trend with 2-piece floral outfits from Anthropologie styled by Kaitlin. Last but not least, all the models looked radiant and GORGEOUS thanks to the supremely talented hair stylist Brittani Estes and make-up artist Makeup by Kacey. Thank you to everyone who brought this shoot to life and we hope it brings you some inspiration for your own wedding!
