Luke and Jacqueline {Married!}

Happy Hump Day everyone! I thought I would make your Wednesday just a little bit better by sharing this adorable country wedding with you! You probably recognize this couple from their Denver County Fair engagement session. Luke and Jacqueline got married in their home town of Pueblo, CO. The ceremony took place in a Hayfield in Beulah and the reception was at the historic Pueblo Union Depot train station. I laughed so hard because the invitation said “Hayfield” like it was a known place (and I’m sure to the people in Beulah and Pueblo it was) but I had to ask Jacque where exactly this “Hayfield” was. Once we arrived, it proved to be quite beautiful with a spectacular view of the mountains and changing golden trees everywhere you looked. Guests, dressed mostly in boots and cowboy hats, made themselves comfy on a hay bale or rocking chair and watched the couple say their vows in front of a custom made alter and a panoramic view like no other. After “I Do” Luke and Jacque did a little dance down the aisle to “Forever” by Andrew Garcia. The reception followed where guests ate and danced the night away toasting the bride and groom!

Oh hello Christian Louboutins!

Luke and Jacque are OBSESSED with Harry Potter (maybe even more than me and that is saying something!), so as a surprise for Luke, Jacque made one of the Harry Potter books into a place to hold the rings.  When the ring bearer brought this up during the ceremony the look on Luke’s face was priceless!

Guests arriving pre-ceremony…

Once we arrived at the Union Depot we could’t resist taking some more photos.  Here are some beautiful shots by Christina.

The wedding cake and the Groom’s cake.  Luke is a Steeler’s fan, but we won’t hold it against him.:)
They really went at it when feeding each other the cake!
A Dessert Table complete with homemade pies, carmel corn, cake pops, carmel covered apples and the best donuts I have ever tasted!

Parker {5 Months}

I know, I know, I say it every month, but I can’t believe Parker is already 5 months old! 5 months is almost 6 months, and 6 months just sounds so big! I saw a little newborn the other day, and it seems like forever ago that Parker was that itty bitty and so new to the world…yet it also seems like I just had him in some ways. Just lying there so precious and fragile, yet unable to do anything. For a minute it made me sad, to think how fast time goes and how AMAZINGLY wonderful that time was and that it has already passed. But I quickly snapped out of it realizing how much more fun he is to be with now and honestly I think he that much cuter too. Every new stage becomes my favorite because he is learning new things about the world and how to exist in it. He is actually very good company and we have fun going through our day laughing and being with one another. I love seeing him with the dogs who are truly becoming big brothers to him. Jackson is his best snuggle buddy, and for whatever reason he thinks Tucker is hilarious. I guess I think Tucker is pretty funny too.

Here are some pics from about a week ago (when he actually turned 5 months…see he is already 5 months and a week now, where does the time go?!). I love these photos because it’s just all of us hanging out at a park near our house…these days it doesn’t take much. Great weekend.

One of my fav pictures with my little guy.  Pure BLISS.

I love this little boy so much!

Absolutely melts my heart.

Nothing like a boy and his Dad.

Our best attempt at a family pic.

Ben and Sarah {Engagement – Part 2}

For Part 2 of Ben and Sarah’s Engagement Shoot, we did some night shots in Silverlake. For these we did something a little more fun and funky….hence the street art and Sarah’s tutu and vintage roller skates. Love it! If you missed Part 1, check it out here.

Ben and Sarah {Engagement – Part 1}

Today I am excited to share some engagement photos with you that we took while in California at LA’s Griffith Park Observatory. This couple is very special to me. The bride, Sarah, is one of my very best friends. We grew up together and have countless stories from choreographing numerous talent show dances, to our awkward days in elementary school, to being cheerleaders together in High School, to driving in Sarah’s jeep with music blasting and many hours spent at Starbucks “studying”. We’ve remained close through college and beyond and Sarah was actually one of the first people to meet and give her seal of approval on my now husband David. She pretty much is a huge part of who I am and someone who I can always count on to make me laugh. I cannot wait to stand beside her in August as a bridesmaid in her wedding!

I still remember the first night I met Ben. It was about 5 years ago at an 80s party for our friend Alyssa’s birthday. He was wearing a throwback Sixers jacket, which I must say he pulled off quite well. My other friend Kristin and I (who has also been one of Sarah’s best friends for the past 20+ years) had driven up to LA from Orange County for the party. All we knew was that Sarah was bringing this guy she had been seeing, but for Sarah that was quite a big deal. Little did Ben know what intense scrutiny he was under that night. But boy oh boy he passed the test! It’s funny, but from that night on I could tell there was something different about this guy and somehow he was perfect for my friend. Looks like I was right.:)

Sarah and Ben met 5 years ago. He had been living in LA for about 2 years and was really good friends with Sarah’s roommate’s friend Graeme. She was living in a house in Los Feliz with 5 roommates and Graeme had been there many times but Ben was never able to come. But Ben had heard many things about this “house in Los Feliz with a million girls living in it.” One night Sarah and all her roommates were going out and her roommate invited Graeme and Graeme brought Ben. They tried to go to a bar in Echo Park called The Short Stop but after waiting in line for about 15 minutes they decided it was too crowded and went to a small bar across the street with graffiti all over the walls called Little Joy (not exactly the most glamorous place). That’s when Sarah noticed Ben. Apparently he noticed her too because he asked Graeme who she was and Graeme replied “Don’t talk to her she’s crazy.” Needless to say, Sarah and Graeme did not exactly get along that well at the time but have since mended their friendship and he’s still one of Ben’s best friends. Ben and Sarah ended up talking all night and he got her number. He waited exactly 3 days to call her and she waited exactly 4 hours to call him back. Now 5 years later Sarah says, “he is my best friend and I can’t WAIT to spend the rest of my life with him!”

We started the engagement shoot off at Griffith Park Observatory because this is where Ben proposed! Ben and Sarah, David and I had so much fun hanging out and shooting you guys. Too bad our visits are never long enough. We hope you love the photos and can’t wait to be apart of your wedding day in August. Love you guys!!!

It was an extremely foggy day at the Observatory, but I think it’s different and that makes these photos beautiful.

They make each other laugh.  All the time.

Love this shot of David’s.

These next two are some of my favorites.
